This week's post is all about welcoming your new followers on Twitter. Welcoming new followers is a good example of how an offline experience can be translated to an online one- for example, when you walk into a store you are often greeted by a colleague. Twitter should be no different!
This initial engagement with new followers offers a good opportunity to open up the channel of communication and let your followers know that you are ready and waiting to answer any of their queries! Customers may find reaching out to the store on Twitter more convenient compared to having to ring the store on the phone.
Here are a few recent examples of Hobbycraft stores welcoming their new followers:

(Above) Janine from Hobbycraft King's Lynn is one of our #ShopfloorHeroes as she has truly mastered the art of responding to customers on behalf of her store! Using a personal sign-off is a great way to add a personal touch and let your followers know who works in their local store. Janine has also ensured to ask the followers some questions to encourage engagement- this is awesome.

The store has been on it with welcoming new followers and keeping them updated about the store opening. The store are working hard to build up a community before the store officially opens.
