In-store fundraisers! | #ShopfloorHeroes

Hello and welcome back to this week's #ShopflloorHeroes blogpost! We wanted to feature some of the awesome tweets we saw last weekend from Hobbycraft stores on Twitter. As it was Halloween, stores held in-store events to raise money for their charity partner, Together for Short Lives. We always encourage our clients to talk about their in-store events on Twitter as it's a great way to let a wider audience know that there is something happening in their local store. If followers are able to see what's going on they may be more likely to head into store and get involved themselves.

(Above) Many stores opted for a cake sale to raise money! It was great to see Stevenage and Rochester snapping some great pics of their baked goodies to encourage their local followers to pop in and get involved. Using local hashtags in tweets is a great way to ensure your store's tweet is seen by others in the area who are also using and following the same hashtags!

(Above) It was great to see all of the fantastic costumes that colleagues had created for the event too! Sharing photos of colleagues on Twitter is a great way to let local followers know who works in the store. It also adds a more human touch to Twitter too which is great as it reminds customers that there are a team of colleagues ready and waiting for their queries!

After the events we also saw stores turn to Twitter to let their followers know how much money they managed to raise:

This is a wonderful way to thank customers for getting involved and to celebrate the success of the event at a local store level.
