Hobbycraft store re-openings! | #ShopfloorHeroes

Welcome back to another #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost! We hope you have had a wonderful week and if you are based in England and Wales, we hope you have enjoyed the re-opening of your favourite retailers and indie businesses!

For this week's blogpost we wanted to feature some of the awesome broadcasts we have seen from Hobbycraft stores over the past week since they have re-opened their shops for in-store shopping. It has been great to see stores keeping their customers updated via Twitter as this has enabled them to keep their local customers informed with what has changed in store during the lockdown period.

Below are some of the awesome tweets we have seen over the past week, it has been fantastic to see colleagues featured in many of these tweets as it is a great way to let customers know who is working in store:

As you can see from the above photos there was a lot of excitement from colleagues in relation to the re-opening. It is also great to see colleagues practicing good covid safety by ensuring to wear masks and keep their distance from their colleagues.

We have also seen some fantastic tweets in relation to the move around that many stores have had during the lockdown period:

The above tweet from Hobbycraft Chesterfield is great! The colleague who has taken this photo has considered the background and has also made sure to let customers know that colleagues are in-store to help and assist where needed. This can work to put customers at ease before they head into store and ultimately create a good shopping experience for the customer.

We think that this store map that Hobbycraft Swindon have shared on Twitter is fantastic. By sharing this on Twitter, the store have given their customers the opportunity to take a look at this before their head into store!

Hobbycraft colleagues are well and truly #ShopfloorHeroes!

Here are some tips to consider when creating your own broadcasts:

- Aim to include colleagues in your tweets.

- Consider how you can deliver and communicate useful information for your customers.

- Ensure to use local and compliant hashtags. Using local hashtags is a great way to engage with people in your local area who may also be using these hashtags.

We hope that you have enjoyed this week’s #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost and are inspired to broadcast store updates from your store's Twitter!
