Hero store: Hobbycraft Swindon | #ShopfloorHeroes

Hello there and welcome to/ welcome back to our weekly #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost where we highlight some of the awesome content we have seen from Hobbycraft stores over the past week! This week we wanted to feature some of the fantastic broadcasts we have seen featuring colleagues from Hobbycraft Swindon. Featuring colleagues in store tweets is a great way to make a tweet more eye-catching and personable. Product images alone are great, but featuring a colleague can really make a tweet stand out in a follower's Twitter timeline!

Here are a couple of our favourite tweets we have seen from the store over the past week:

(Above) This tweet featuring store colleague Jenny is fantastic, it is great to see Swindon celebrating the makes that their colleagues have created! The store have used a question to encourage conversation with their followers which is fantastic to see!

(Above) Similarly to the tweet featuring store colleague Jenny, this tweet featuring Janet is equally as great. The store have shared some great imagery of the canvasses that they have available in store whilst also showcasing the canvasses that Janet has decorated!

The Swindon store have really mastered the art of broadcasting by using eye-catching photos, questions and local/ brand compliant hashtags in their tweets. Combining all of these components into a tweet may also work to help the store engage with their customers! This is great! #ShopfloorHeroes

Here are some tips to consider when creating broadcasts for your store:

  • Use good quality photos.

  • Aim to use local and relevant hashtags in the tweet as this will help it travel further and reach the individuals in your local area that are also using these hashtags.

  • Ensure the copy of your tweet is up-beat and relevant. You can also link to your companies website if you feel this is needed (especially for specific products!)

  • Ask your followers questions where possible to prompt engagement.

We hope that you have enjoyed this week’s #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost and are inspired to tweet on behalf of your store! To find out more about how we can create #ShopfloorHeroes within your organisation, please email us at hello@socialretailgroup.com or click here and we will call you back.
