Happy Easter! | #ShopfloorHeroes

Happy Easter! We hope you are looking forward to the long weekend ahead and have some fun Easter activities planned!

For this week's #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost we wanted to feature some of the awesome seasonal broadcasts we have seen from Hobbycraft stores in the build up to Easter. Seasonal tweets offer a good opportunity for stores to buildup excitement around products and for Hobbycraft stores, it allows colleagues to showcase their amazing makes using products and supplies that can be purchased by customers.

(Above), here are a few of the lovely Easter/ Spring wreaths Hobbycraft stores have been making over the past month. These are great examples to showcase how products from the store/ online can be transformed into these fantastic makes. Reading and Staines have also made sure to encourage their customers to share what they have been making, this is a great way to start a conversation with followers and build a relationship with them which may later lead to a store visit (when stores are re-open).

(Above) Here are a few more Easter/ Spring themed makes we have seen from stores. These three tweets are Cricut based. Once again, sharing colleague makes is a fantastic way to show what can be made with products (such as the Cricut machine). They may also inspire customers to try a new craft and even reach out to their local store on Twitter for expert advice! This offers stores an opportunity to transfer their customer service skills to an online platform such as Twitter.

(Above) Last but by no means least we wanted to share this lovely product feature broadcast from Hobbycraft Rugby. This tweet is great as the store have ensured to feature a photo of a store colleague, they have also used brand compliant hashtags and a local hashtag in the tweet. The Rugby store have also linked to the website to let their customers know that they can purchase items online while the shops are closed for in-store shopping.

Here are some tips to consider when creating seasonal broadcasts for your store:

  • Use good quality photos.

  • Aim to use local and relevant hashtags in the tweet as this will help it travel further and reach the individuals in your local area that are also using these hashtags.

  • Ensure the copy of your tweet is up-beat and relevant. You can also link to your companies website if you feel this is needed.

  • Ask your followers questions where possible to prompt engagement.

We hope that you have enjoyed this week’s #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost and are inspired to share your own seasonal broadcasts with your customers on Twitter.
