Featuring your customers on Twitter | #ShopfloorHeroes

Hello and welcome back to this week's #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost! This week's post is all about stores featuring their customers on store Twitter. We have seen some fantastic customer features over the past week which work to add a more human touch to store Twitter as well as create a community feel to an online platform.

With a company such as Hobbycraft, featuring customers in tweets also offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase customer makes and give other followers inspiration for their next project!

We have selected three of our favourite tweets that we have seen over the past couple of weeks:

(Above) This tweet from Hobbycraft Stockton is absolutely fantastic! The store have ensured to capture a good quality image that features a colleague, the customer and their make! The copy of the tweet is very up-beat and we can tell that the store are very excited to be displaying the customer's make in-store! Stockton have also made sure to tag Knitcraft- this is great as it lets other customers know where to go if they would like to create something similar.

(Above) Now in-store workshops have returned to stores, it has been great to see stores ensure to share photos of their customers taking part in the events. This tweet from Hobbycraft Solihull is great as it shows a workshop in progress and lets customers that may want to book on know what to expect! Solihull have also made sure to mention where customers can find out more information if they want to book.

(Above) Last but by no means least! Here is another awesome tweet we have seen which shows a happy customer showcasing their completed workshop make! Stockport have ensured to link to the website to book and have also used local hashtags in the tweet. This is good as it means that other individuals in the local area who are also using/ following these hashtags may see this tweet and be encouraged to book on themselves!

Top tips to remember when including customers in tweets:

- Always ensure to gain the customers permission before posting their photo of Twitter.

- Aim to provide useful and relevant information, for example, where a customer can go to book.

- Make sure to use clear photos which showcase the subject matter!
