Celebrating colleague skill and expertise | #ShopfloorHeroes

Hello and welcome back to another #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost where we highlight some of the fantastic content we have seen from our awesome client, Hobbycraft, over the past week. We hope that you have had a good week and are excited to see what Hobbycraft broadcasts we have featured in this week's post!

We've mentioned before that Hobbycraft stores often celebrate and promote their colleagues expertise on Twitter by sharing their makes. We think this is awesome! Store Twitter gives colleagues the opportunity to share their work with their local customers even when the stores are closed (for in-store shopping). For Hobbycraft, sharing colleague makes is a great way to encourage followers to have a go at a new craft and also to get to know the colleagues that work in their local store (in terms of what their interest and talents are).

For this week's blogpost we have selected a handful of the awesome news update broadcasts we have seen from stores highlighting their colleague's makes:

Where possible, featuring a store colleague in a tweet is a great way to create a more eye-catching broadcast. It will also add a human touch to your store's Twitter. We love this tweet from Hobbycraft Taunton as they have included a photo of store colleague Karen holding one of her recent makes. The store have also carefully considered the background of the photo and have positioned Karen in front of the polystyrene rings which can be used to create a wreath.

The above tweet from Hobbycraft Eastbourne is good because the store have shared a finished crochet blanket that has been made by store colleague Jaz for store colleague Becky's birthday. Sharing colleague makes like this is a great way to encourage customers to have a go at a new project and see what can be achieved when having a go at a specific craft.

Here is another tweet from Hobbycraft Eastbourne, we have shared this broadcast as it is great to see stores using questions in their tweets to encourage conversation with their followers. Remember, you can never expect followers to respond or engage but it is fantastic to see the store have asked their followers about their Mother's Day makes anyway. The store have also used local and brand suggested hashtags. Using local hashtags will enable the store to reach out to other local individuals that may be using/ following these hashtags.

We hope that you have enjoyed this week’s #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost and are inspired to talk to your customers on Twitter. To find out more about how we can create #ShopfloorHeroes within your organisation, please email us at hello@socialretailgroup.com or click here and we will call you back.
