#ShopfloorHeroes | 01.11.19
We hope everyone had a great Halloween! Can you believe that it's November already, this year is flying by. As always we are back this Friday to bring to you the next instalment in our #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost series. This week we have selected a few of our favourite broadcasts we saw last weekend when we saw Hobbycraft stores hold a Halloween themed fundraising event to raise money for Together for Short Lives.
Over the weekend we saw some awesome broadcasts from Hobbycraft stores, we especially love all the fantastic colleague features in the tweets.
Sharing what's going on in store by broadcasting on Twitter is a great way to reach out to multiple customers at once and encourage them to come into store and get involved.

Each of the stores have ensured to use local and brand compliant hashtags which is good as this enables them to reach out to other people in their local area that may be using or following these hashtags.

It is really great to see colleagues getting involved in in-store events and dressing up to raise money for charity. Featuring colleagues in broadcasts is a great way to encourage engagement with customers as well as introduce colleagues to customers.

Here are some tips to consider when creating your own news update broadcast for your store:
- Including a photo of a store colleague or customer in a broadcast is a great way to make your tweet more exciting and eye-catching.
- Including local and brand hashtags will help your store engage with your local community, especially with other local individuals that may be using these hashtags.
- Why not try Including a question in a broadcast. This a great way to encourage conversation and engage with your local customers. For example the stores could have asked their customers what they were going to dress up as for Halloween.
