#ShopfloorHeroes | 11.10.19

This week's #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost is all about colleague makes. Sharing your colleague's makes is a great way to offer inspiration to customers who may see the make and be encouraged to have a go themselves. It is also a great way to celebrate the talent of your colleagues and showcase the things they have created. At SocialRetail Group, we love seeing all the fantastic makes from Hobbycraft colleagues!

This week we have picked three broadcasts featuring makes from Hobbycraft's #amazingcolleagues:

This tweet from Hobbycraft Bristol features an advent calendar that #amazingcolleague Linda has decorated.

As we are in the build up towards Christmas, sharing this decorated advent calendar is a great way to show the stores customers what they could do with the products that are currently in-store.

It is great to see that Bristol has used local hashtags in their tweet as this will potentially enable them to engage with customers in their local area who are following and using the same hashtags.

We love to see store's using photos of their store colleagues on Twitter. Gloucester have shared this awesome photo of store colleague Amber holding her make.

Sharing photos of colleagues is a good way to introduce the colleague to your customers on Twitter and also share what expertise the colleague may have.

Hobbycraft Lincoln have shared this lovely image of a cross stitch cushion made by store colleague Freya.

Sharing colleagues makes can also encourage engagement with your customers as they may want to share something similar that they have made. Why not ask your customers what they have been making or what they have been up to during the week in relation to your business?

Here are some tips for creating your own broadcasts:

-Aim to include a photo in your tweet as this can create a more eye-catching broadcast.

-Use local hashtags as well as hashtags given to you by the brand, for example #hobbycraft.

-Where possible, try to include a question as this can encourage conversation with your followers.

Hobbycraft Bristol, Gloucester and Lincoln ROCK!
