Can you believe it's the start of September already! This year is flying by!

We are back this week with our 15th instalment of our #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost. This week we want to celebrate Hobbycraft Newbury as our 'Hero store' for their fantastic tweets during the build up to the store opening. Store manager, Ashleigh, has remained active on Twitter throughout the busy opening period and has created some awesome broadcasts. Ashleigh is well and truly one of our #ShopfloorHeroes!

Social media is a fantastic tool for stores to use to update their customers with information especially around in-store demonstrations and events.

It is great to see Newbury sharing who works in the store and what expertise they have to offer especially in the build up to the opening as this allows customers to get to know colleagues.

Store colleague Ashleigh has consistently used personal sign-offs in each of the broadcasts and responses she has done on behalf of the store. This is great as it allows followers to know who they are talking to on Twitter and become familiar with the store colleagues that tweet on behalf of the store.

Newbury have also been receiving some great feedback on Twitter which is fantastic to see as this may encourage other people to come into the new store. These short conversations are good examples of how quickly and easily customers can reach out to their local store to share their experiences after their visit.

Ashleigh has ensured to respond promptly to each of the customers in a light-hearted and positive way.
