#ShopfloorEngage Favourites (08.02.19)
Can you believe it? This will be our 19th #ShopfloorEngage favourites blogpost!
This week we want to focus on welcoming new followers on Twitter.
As this is the beginning of the relationship between the store and the customer, it is important to make a good first impression. This can be done by 'crafting' an awesome welcoming tweet.
Before we have a look at some of the great examples we have seen from Hobbycraft stores, here are some tips on what to include in a welcome tweet...
A welcome message (e.g. Thank-you for following)
An engaging question (e.g. What crafts do you do? Have you recently completed any craft projects?)
A personal sign-off

Store colleague Laura from Bedford has ensured to ask the customer an engaging question, this is great!
Remember, you can never expect a customer to reply.
Here is another good example from store colleague Alicja from Hobbycraft Croydon.

Below is an example from a little while ago that we love! It shows how a successful welcoming tweet can result in a store visit or a sale.

The store has offered to put the product aside for the customer to pick up at a time convenient for them, this shows good customer service.
