#ShopfloorEngage Favourites (25.01.19)

For this week's blogpost we will be looking at an awesome conversation from Hobbycraft Swindon that we saw at the beginning of January.

In this example the customer has reached out to their local store to enquire about stock before they make a visit.

Why is this a #ShopfloorEngage favourite?

-Prompt reply to the customers initial tweet.

-Awesome use of personal sign-offs from Naren.

-Great use of questions to build a relationship with the customer and show interest in their project.

-Naren has offered to put the wool aside for the customer, this is great as it enables the store to turn this conversation into a sale.

Top tips to consider when having a conversation with a customer:

-Always remember to use a personal sign-off as this lets the customer know which store colleague they are talking to.

-Ensure to reply in a timely manner so that the customer isn't kept waiting for a response.

-It is always good to encourage further conversation and show interest in the customer. This can be done by asking a question. In this case, store colleague Naren has asked the customer what they are making.
